Boy Hit by Vehicle While Crossing Michigan Street, According to Plymouth Police

Plymouth Police say a boy was hit by a vehicle while crossing Michigan Street Wednesday morning. It happened just before 8:00 a.m. at the intersection of Michigan and Jefferson.

The police report indicates that the boy was crossing eastbound, when a vehicle that was heading southbound on Michigan tried to make a right turn. The driver reportedly told officers that she had stopped in the right turn lane and then began to turn right on red, but she said she didn’t see the pedestrian crossing in front of her. The boy said the light was lit up for him to cross.

Police say he complained of pain, but declined to be taken to the hospital.
