Marshall County Highway Superintendent Jason Peters asked the county council members for additional funds to finish the road program this year.
Peters asked for $100,000 in additional funds to complete work around Lake of the Woods. He would like work done at the north or east shore. It would be contracted out because Peters said there are several manholes other issues that would be better handled by another company.
Peters would get new estimates for the work, but for now he knows $100,000 is needed to go with the remaining Community Crossings funding for the project.
The council members were not comfortable in making a motion at the time. More discussion will be held when budget numbers are reviewed further.
