The Bremen Town Council members will need to bid out ambulance service for the start of the new year.
Earlier this year, Lutheran EMS canceled their contract with the town with a 90-day notice, but submitted a separate agreement to continue service through the end of the year. In May, the ambulance board members approved a proposal from the company at a cost of $24,000 a month through the end of 2019, an increase of 25 percent from their previous contract.
Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy said the town council members should be ready to get the bidding information out in the first part of September.
