Marshall County Highway Superintendent Jason Peters addressed an agreement with the county commissioners last week regarding construction inspections of Community Crossings projects.
During their June 17 meeting, the commissioners approved a motion to allow Peters to work with USI Consultants to assist with the inspections. The on-call contract would not exceed $45,500.
Peters said last week that he doesn’t think that the consultants would be used much or at all, but he would call them for bridge, culvert or more in-depth work needed for projects.
The commissioners acknowledged Peters’ comments and noted that the agreement is still in place.
