Several fire departments responded to a structure fire Monday evening in the 2,000 block of Plymouth-LaPorte Trail near Walkerton.
Officials say fire units were called out to the scene around 5:30 p.m. and remained there until 3 a.m. Tuesday morning. As of 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, some fire crews were still at the scene with the Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office.
No other details of the fire have been released at this time.
The Polk Township Fire Department was assisted at the scene by the Walkerton Fire Department, Walkerton EMS, North Liberty Fire Department, Koontz Lake Fire Department, Bremen Fire Department, Plymouth Fire Department, and the Lakeville Fire Department.
