Argos Town officials recently created a fund related to the School Resource Officer position that was established last school year.
As previously reported, Argos Police Officer Dave Carrell started as an SRO back in April.
The officer is paid partially through a Homeland Security grant as well as match money the School Corporation is providing for the grant they received.
Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney said order to keep track of how much was being billed to and received from the school corporation they had to establish a specific account for the SRO position.
A resolution related to the creation of the fund was passed unanimously when members met last Wednesday. It was made retroactive to April 22nd, the date that Officer Carrell started as the SRO.
