Culver town officials closed on the donation of the commercial property at 530 S. Ohio Street at a cost of $11,400.
The cost was part of the donation agreement in that the town would pay closing costs, title insurance and the appraisal of the building.
The property previously appraised at approximately $245,000.
The transaction occurred on Friday.
It’s not known yet what will happen with the property. Some earlier discussions included use of that space for a start-up business, new Town Hall building, or a community center. There are a number of opportunities that haven’t been approved, but will be discussed in future meetings.
