Plymouth City Council Considers Commercial Revitalization Rebate Program Grant Requests

Two requests came before the Plymouth City Council members this week for roofing projects on two downtown structures.

Brent Martin from the REES Theatre organization requested the maximum $25,000 grant allowance for roof work on top of the building.  The grant would assist covering the full quote of $206,300.  The city council members unanimously approved the request.

Crews are working on the third phase of the REES Theatre renovation project which includes rebuilding the entire east wall, stabilizing the foundation, a new roof, and concrete work and the installation of steel inside the building.

The city council also approved a request from Dave Langdon for a roofing project at the Brass Rail over the banquet room and dining room.  The rebate program grant would include $1,638, which is 20 percent of the cost of the entire project.
