Marshall County Commissioners to Meet Today

The Marshall County Commissioners will meet this morning where Ken Jones from Jones, Petrie and Rafinski will present a wastewater presentation and an engineering study.  This follows a discussion about the issue of failing septic systems in the county and protecting drinking water. 

Marshall County Highway Superintendent Jason Peters will open bids for the Community Crossings projects.  He will also discuss the disposal of an old wheel loader and the purchase of a new wheel loader. 

EMA Director Clyde Avery will have an update on the Automated External Defibrillators in the county building.  The Marshall County Safety Committee is looking to replace an AED in the courthouse and more information was requested on the condition of the devices in the county building before a potential purchase was made. 

Greg Christian from Bourbon Township will talk about 12th Road while David Stough will discuss Maple Road drainage.  Sheriff Matt Hassel presents a grant application request during today’s meeting while Health Administrator Christine Stinson has a preparedness grant request. Plan Director Ty Adley will have an amended ordinance for approval.

The Marshall County Commissioners will meet at 8:30 a.m. today in the second floor meeting room in the Marshall County Building at 112 W. Jefferson Street in Plymouth.
