Marshall County residents can take a survey on what projects they would like to be considered in a Regional Development Plan for Marshall County. Members of the Marshall County Crossroads Regional Stellar Communities committee are looking for feedback from the public on suggested projects for the presentation to state officials in November.

In local Culver stellar projects, CulverTown Manager Jonathan Leist said they are very close to a preliminary design for the State Road 10 sidewalk project. Leist said they’ll review a plan soon with members from the Indiana Department of Transportation, Michiana Area Council of Governments, and an engineer with Troyer Group. Once that project is done, the West Jefferson Street project will follow and then the final phase of the walking and biking trail will begin.
As for the Cavalier Sports Park, the town is awaiting the release of funds from the Office of Community and Rural Affairs to move forward with the project.
The excavating project at the Culver Beach Lodge began recently for waterproofing. Michiana Contracting put up fencing around the construction area to make it a little safer for those who visit the beach. That extensive remodeling project is anticipated to continue through March of 2020.
