Candy Lane Project Substantially Complete, Water Main Project Begins Wednesday in Plymouth

The Candy Lane storm sewer project in Plymouth is substantially complete.

Utility Superintendent Donnie Davidson reported to the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members Monday night that all piping and paving is done.  Punchlist items remain which will be complete in three days or so.

In another project to start Wednesday, Davidson said crews will replace a water main on Liberty Street from Jefferson Street to Berkley Street.

“This is in coordination with a proposed street paving project that the street department has identified,” said Davidson.  “We’ve had multiple breaks on that main over the years – about five or six in that two-block stretch. Our goal is to replace that prior to paving.”

The road will be closed during the construction, but homeowners will have access to driveways during this project.  It is anticipated to last 30 days.
