The Bremen Town Council members took action Tuesday night to approve a quote for the replacement of 31 single-pane windows at the Senior Center.
Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy previously told the council members that the windows are currently painted shut and are in terrible condition.
He obtained three quotes for their replacement with the lowest coming from Window World in the amount of $12,255. The council wanted to know more about the company before approving the quote.
Weldy said Tuesday night that he found out that Window World crews have successfully completed several projects in the Town of Bremen and come highly recommended.
With that, the council members agreed to move forward with the project which involves installing white, double-paned, vinyl-trimmed windows with screens. Weldy said it will start as soon as the work can be scheduled.
