The next phase of the REES Theatre project expects to begin soon.
Plymouth City Attorney Sean Surrisi told the Plymouth Redevelopment Commission members last week that the next phase includes rebuilding the entire east wall, stabilizing the foundation, a new roof, and concrete work and the installation of steel inside the building.
Surrisi added that portion of the project was put out to bid with numbers around $206,300. He said some invoices will come before the Redevelopment Commission members that will need to be reviewed for funds they approved for the project.
The final phase of the project will be the renovation of the interior of the building. It is the hope of REES Theatre project officials that a Community Development Block Grant worth $500,000 is approved for the work to be done.
