Marshall County Highway Department Works to Clear Storm Damage

Marshall County Highway Department crews continue to work on clearing roads of debris from Thursday morning’s storms.

Highway Superintendent Jason Peters said they are working to clear tree limbs and other debris in order to open roads with more of the clean up process to continue on Friday.

As of Thursday morning, the public reported enough areas where debris fell to incorporate the use of all three of the highway department’s payloaders and both backhoes.  All area leaders have been running their area helping to cover roads and report areas that require assistance from loads to push off the debris.

Peters urges drivers to travel with caution due to the possibility of downed power lines.

Debris close to the side of the roadside will be picked up later.
