Marshall County employees will be required to take part in safety training this fall.
County government employees can expect to learn about safety equipment and wear, hazardous chemicals, material handling and repetitive motion, as well as slips, trips and falls. Officials from the Bowen Center plan to deliver information about the managing upset customers.
Health Administrator Christine Stinson will provide training on stop the bleed and EMA Director Clyde Avery will talk about preparedness.
Fire and tornado drill information can be expected as well as what to do in the case of a bomb threat or earthquake. Deputy Ryan Hollopeter from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department will provide active shooter training.
The Marshall County Commissioners agreed to close the Marshall County Courthouse and the Marshall County Building on Thursday, Sept 19 from noon to 4 p.m. for the training.
