Information on an inmate worker policy will be given to the Marshall County Commissioners when they meet this morning. Sheriff Matt Hassel briefly discussed the policy with the county council last week, saying that some changes needed to be made before formal action is taken.
The policy puts together procedures to ensure that jail inmates provide manual labor to local government departments and certain not-for-profit organizations with no risk.
Plan Director Ty Adley will present information on a zoning change while an update on the Water Task Force is anticipated.
Highway Superintendent Jason Peters and County Attorney Jim Clevenger will also present information when the commissioners meet today at 9:30 a.m. in the second floor meeting room in the Marshall County Building at 112 W. Jefferson Street in Plymouth.
