A decision on a new Bremen Cemetery Superintendent will be made in May.
Cemetery Superintendent Steve Ervin passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, April 22 with funeral services held on Monday this week. He was 62.
Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy said initial discussions placed George Misner into the Interim Cemetery Superintendent position. Misner comes into the role with several years of experience.
The Bremen Town Council members plan to take the next steps to hire a superintendent during their next meeting on Monday, May 13. Typically, employees have a chance to submit interest in the position before it is posted to the public, according to Weldy.
