The Town of Bremen was the recipient of Community Crossings grant funds in this latest round.
Work will be done on portions of 3rd Street, 4th Street, Beyler Street, Wahl Street, Holland Street, Grant Street, South Street, Southlawn Court, Maple Street, and Water Street. Milling and hot mix asphalt, sidewalk replacement and curb and gutter replacement will occur on some of the roads while others will receive general improvements.
Street and Water Superintendent Alex Mikel told the Bremen Town Council members that the total amount of state funds awarded is $447,838.86. The town will have to match 25 percent of that cost, which is nearly $112,000.
