To help community members spruce up their properties for springtime, the Town of Argos will conduct two separate large item clean-up days during the month of April.
When town council members met last week, Council President George Null encouraged residents to take pride in their properties and advised them to take advantage of these clean-up days to rid their yards of any big eye-sores.
The first large item clean-up day will be held this week on Wednesday, April 10th. To have your items taken away, you must be sure that they are out at the road by the time your trash is typically picked up. The next large item clean-up will be held later this month on Wednesday, April 24th.
There are a few stipulations to keep in mind as you prepare for these pick-ups.
For instance, all mattresses must be wrapped in plastic and no construction or building materials will be picked up. Additionally, there must be a tag or some other type of official indicator that the Freon has been removed from any appliances that contain it, such as refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners.
