Construction is progressing at the River Gate South apartment complexes in Plymouth.
Plymouth City Attorney Sean Surrisi told the Plymouth Redevelopment Commission members last week that crews are aggressively working on the buildings to make a completion target in June. Surrisi indicated that things seem to be going according to plan.
The River Gate South apartment complexes are located at the corner of Lake Street and Michigan Street in Plymouth. Each floor plan is different and 39 apartments will be completed soon in three different buildings. River Gate South was proposed as a workforce housing need to help increase economic health and stability.
Funding for the project was made available through the Regional Cities Initiative while the City of Plymouth also committed funds seeing this as an opportunity to help advance the community.
