The Bremen Town Council will soon need to raise water and sewer rates.
The town is behind in raising rates during the past couple of years.
Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy previously said a rate study in 2018 revealed that a rate increase is needed. The town council members are unsure at what rate the increase will be and no other information is available at this time. The council members will discuss the issue further during their next meeting in May.
Previously, Weldy mentioned that the increases could be about $2.00 to $2.50 more per bill for the average consumer who uses about 3,000 gallons of water a month.
