The Bremen Town Council members were updated on the county’s status concerning the Regional Stellar Communities Designation program.
Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy said the county was once again selected as one of four finalists for a chance at the Regional Stellar Designation.
Weldy said Bremen’s projects will include a gathering space on Jackson Street that will host a roofed pavilion, work on the town’s swimming pool, and a kayak launch that will tie into Plymouth’s proposed kayak project. The kayak launch is considered to be a complimentary project in the Bremen scope of the project.
The winners will be notified in late fall.
Bremen joins Argos, Culver, Bourbon, Plymouth and the county in this year’s Marshall County Crossroads Stellar Initiative application. The Town of LaPaz withdrew projects for consideration.
