Bremen Downtown Clock to Undergo Repairs

A piece of equipment in downtown Bremen will get a facelift.

Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy told the Bremen Town Council members last week that the town clock that is affixed on the outer wall of the Town Hall building no longer works.

Weldy said, “A quote to fix it is $6,345.  It would get an all new face, new hands, and all new drives in the inside.  It should last another 20 years I would think.  A quote to replace it is $20,000.  Do you want to replace it, fix it or take it down?”

The town council agreed to fix the 23-year-old clock in the amount of $6,345.  The work will be done by a specialist from the Mount Vernon Clock Company in Ohio.
