The Plymouth Redevelopment Commission members learned this week that the Aquatic Center and the Early Childhood Learning Center construction projects are on schedule.
City Attorney Sean Surrisi said a certificate of occupancy was issued to entities entering the Early Childhood Learning Center on Miller Drive in Plymouth. Officials hope that the building will open in May with operations to begin yet this year.
As for the Aquatic Center located next door, more concrete has been poured for the pool, and split-faced block is being installed on the outside of the building. Grading was done on the property line between the two facilities.
The Capital Campaign to fund the remainder of the Aquatic Center infrastructure and equipment is gathering more donations. Surrisi said that several donations have come in and they’re getting closer to their goal of almost $798,000.
