The Marshall County Commissioners will meet today where they will hear from Sheriff Matt Hassel who will present an intergovernmental agreement to the commissioners for consideration. Sheriff Hassel is attempting to lower the jail population by housing inmates at neighboring facilities, but an agreement needs to be approved first with a daily rate.
A request to vacate an alley in Teegarden and an ordinance amendment pertaining to fences, hedges and walls will be considered, and Community Corrections Director Ward Byers will present a grant application request.
Town Manager Jonathan Leist will bring forward an annexation request that was passed on second reading by the Culver Town Council last week to annex 1.26 acres into the town for the purposes of development. EMA Director Clyde Avery is also expected to go over his quarterly report and review the Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan.
The Marshall County Commissioners will meet at 9:30 a.m. today in the second floor meeting room in the Marshall County Building at 112 W. Jefferson Street in Plymouth.
