The Culver Town Council members received an update on two unsafe properties.
Town Manager Jonathan Leist said the owner of the trailer court at 515 W. Jefferson Street is aware that the property is non-compliant with trailers that are reportedly abandoned and in poor condition. The owner has 30 days to bring it into compliance or further action will be taken.
A court hearing over the unsafe property at 709 Obipso Street resulted in the judge granting the owner 60 days to make necessary repairs to the building. Leist said he and Building Commissioner Chuck DeWitt prepared a letter for the owner of what should be done. They will head back to court in May to review the effort made to make the repairs.
