The Bremen Town Council members will be taking bids for ambulance service.
During their meeting earlier this month, the council members learned that Lutheran EMS gave a 90-day notice of contract cancellation. The company indicated that they may be adjusting their services as of June 1.
Lutheran EMS began with services in 2017.
Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy said previously that new proposal may be offered by Lutheran EMS that would eliminate one ambulance and charge a rate at an increase of 25 percent. Weldy said both the town and German Township split the cost of the service per month. Nothing was mentioned about the proposal during Monday night’s meeting.
Bids are due back at the end of April.
