Clean-up of the old Clark gas station at the corner of State Road 106 and State Road 331 in Bremen is complete and officials are still attempting to figure out what to do with the property.
Bremen Town Council President Michael Leman resumed the discussion on Monday afternoon. Talks had subsided about the empty property.
Bremen Town Attorney Anthony Wagner reminded the council members that the Bremen Public School Board wanted to partner with the town to place a large digital sign in that space to promote school activities and town activities. He said that discussion could continue with the school.
Director of Operations Trend Weldy said they asked INDOT if they wanted to purchase the property widen the road in that area to better accommodate semi-truck traffic, but they did not show interest in that project.
While the town council may give the Bremen Public Schools priority on project ideas Weldy said if anyone has ideas for that space to notify his office and the town council members will review them.
