A monetary contribution for the Argos Summer Kickoff Festival was approved during last Wednesday’s Town Council meeting. Members approved a $12,000 donation.
Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney said the council members approve a donation each year to help cover the cost of some festival purchases, including fireworks for the annual display.
This year, the festival is scheduled for Friday, June 21st and Saturday, June 22nd. In addition to the fireworks show, the event will feature various vendors, bounce houses, a pageant as well as musical performances and magic shows.
Residents can also look forward to a “Scholar Sprint” Saturday morning, the parade, a baseball and softball tournament, a fishing derby and much more.
