The Culver School Board approved the 2019-2020 school calendar Monday. It calls for a first day of class on August 8, with the last day on May 28.
Superintendent Karen Shuman says next year’s calendar incorporates the input from a recent community survey. “They wanted to maintain a balanced calendar, which is the reason for the start of August 8,” she says, “and then they wanted to finish, potentially, by the end of May, which we got that accomplished, and to maintain a week at fall break and two weeks at spring break were the biggest concerns with our community.”
Shuman points out that the calendar will also continue to have planned eLearning days, including one on October 11 to coincide with parent-teacher conferences.
