The Marshall County Commissioners reviewed the proposed reorganization of the highway department Tuesday morning.
As part of the reorganization as discussed in the commissioners’ budget workshop and in a public meeting of the county council, Jason Peters would move to the superintendent’s position and there will be two road foremen, two clerk positions and a shop supervisor.
Peters told the commissioners that the job descriptions for all positions have been submitted, and Waggoner, Irwin and Scheele representatives will be putting together the pay range for those positions.
A subcommittee will review those job descriptions and make a recommendation to the county council for final approval. The salary ordinance would need to be amended to reflect any changes.
The commissioners approved the proposal with a unanimous vote.
