The Culver Town Council members approved a request from Tony Sellers to hold the Winter Fest event on Feb. 8, Feb. 9, and Feb. 10.
The main attraction during the Culver Winter Fest is the ice sculpture fights scheduled for that Saturday during the event. From 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET, carvers will battle each other and the crowd will pick the best carving. Additional ice sculptures will be displayed during the event sponsored by local businesses.
The Winter Fest will also feature sledding, ping pong tables, the polar plunge, a photo taking area, and the downtown Cupid’s Crawl shopping event. A chili cook-off will take place on Feb. 10. A registration form is available on the organization’s Facebook page.
The permit approved by the town council allows the beer garden to be open an extra hour. It was mentioned that the results of the ice fights look spectacular at nighttime, so guests have an extra hour to enjoy the creations Saturday night.
More information about the event will be released soon.
