The Bremen Town Council approved two, five-year equipment tax abatement requests Monday afternoon.
Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy explained that one request came from Pro Tech Panel and Truss Manufacturing, or Nello Corporation, on High Road.
“They are building roof and floor trusses and wall panels,” said Weldy. “They are putting a million-and-a-half worth of equipment into that building. A lot of it is going to be robots. Computerized. They’re not creating a lot of jobs. Year one it says 1-8, year two 2-11, year three 3-14, year five 5-26.”
The second request came from Innovator RV. Weldy said the owner has invested some money into the equipment in the business on Dewey Street.
“He has put $490,000 worth of equipment in his building and I’ve been through it. They’ve been running a pretty good line. They’ve got about nine or ten units sitting on the line. He said he’s shipping out three a day. He has 30 employees right now and he wants to go to 50.”
The Bremen Town Council members approved two separate resolutions granting those tax abatement requests.
