A public hearing will be held during the John Glenn School Board’s next meeting in order to hear comments on the proposed contract for the new superintendent.
Superintendent Richard Reese stated that by law the contract needs to be available for public comment in a hearing. It is set for Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. in the Administration Building on John Glenn High School’s campus.
The board has been working with the University Superintendent Search Team, comprised of members from Ball State University, Indiana University, Purdue University and Indiana State University, to fill the position when Reese steps down June 30, 2019. The school board accepted his retirement request at their last meeting in November.
Reese said the board members may or may not have a candidate named at the time of the public hearing as negotiations are ongoing.
