The Plymouth City Council members this week discussed agreements for planning services and transportation services for 2019.
City Attorney Sean Surrisi presented the agreement to the council dealing with planning services with Plan Director Ralph Booker.
“It consolidates the duties that used to be split between the county contract and the individual contract with Ralph,” explained Surrisi. “Before, the county contract said anything he did during regular business hours was under that contract and stuff outside of those hours was on the city’s contract with Ralph. Everything’s together and there is a two percent increase from the total amount the contract was last year.”
The contract is the amount of $16,151.76 which was unanimously approved by the council members.
Surrisi also presented an agreement with the Marshall County Council on Aging for transportation.
“This is the same agreement the city has had for a number of years with the Marshall County Council on Aging that provides some assistance for their transportation program. The amount of this is $8,000 which is the same as before. It’s paid in two payments throughout the year.”
There was some confusion on whether or not they were going to increase the contract to $10,000 and from which line item the increase would be used. That agreement was tabled until the first meeting in January.
