Marshall County Highway Supervisor Jason Peters will be applying for Community Crossings funds through INDOT in the January call for applications.
Peters anticipates submitting the same projects as in the fall call for applications. The proposed projects are Dogwood Road from U.S. 6 to the County Line, 11th Road from U.S. 31 to S. Michigan, North Michigan Road from the Plymouth City Limits to Veteran’s Parkway, Dogwood Road from State Road 331 to U.S. 6, and 9B Road from Union Road to the County Line.
The total project cost is estimated at $1,330,000. The state would pay 75 percent of the cost while the county would pay 25 percent as a grant match. If all projects are awarded, the county’s match would be $332,500.
Peters told the commissioners last week that the application window begins Jan. 7 and runs through Feb. 1. The announcement of awarded projects will occur in March.
