John Glenn School Board Approves Raises for Administrators, Support Staff

The John Glenn School Board members approved pay raises for administrators and support staff during their meeting this week.

The administrator contracts were approved with a two percent increase retroactive to July 1, 2018. Superintendent Richard Reese said in addition to a two percent raise for Athletic Director Eric Stevens he will receive a one-time stipend for extra work in Project Lead the Way and classes at John Glenn High School.

The contracts include Business Manager Tom Bendy, High School Principal William Morton and Assistant Principal Chris Manering, Walkerton Elementary Principal Tim Davis and Assistant Principal Rebecca Cummings, Urey Middle School Principal Mark Maudlin, North Liberty Elementary School Principal Randy Romer, and Technology Coordinator Andrew Stegemiller.

In his comments prior to the board’s action, Reese said his contract was not listed, but the school board voted unanimously to include his contract with the rest of the other administrator contracts as presented.

Also approved was a raise for support staff in base pay. A two percent increase was given to Office Administrative Assistant Shelly Clark and Deputy Treasurer Carol Kuzmicz. In addition, Maintenance Director Shelby Gibson’s pay was raised to bring it up to what the previous maintenance director was making.
