The Culver School Board approved a number of policy updates last week. A revised holiday policy was adopted, according to Superintendent Karen Shuman. She previously explained that the update brings the policy in line with the school calendar.
Board members also finalized a number of policy updates recommended by policy consultant NEOLA, to bring the corporation’s policies up-to-date with state and federal laws. Meanwhile, a policy that seeks to clarify how school employees are paid for eLearning days has yet to receive final board approval, according to Shuman.
Also during last week’s meeting, the Culver School Board approved various fund transfer resolutions to close out the 2018 budget year, prepare for the new school funding structure taking effect January 1, and meet requirements for extra-curricular and athletic accounts.
