County Commissioners Reviews Paperwork to Move Forward with Appraisals

The Marshall County buildings may soon be appraised for the first time since 2001 as the Marshall County Commissioners reviewed a proposal on Monday.

Consultant Mike Miley provided the commissioners with a quote from Industrial Appraisal Company to appraise all of the county-owned buildings. Miley noted that four buildings at the highway department were added in this round of proposals in addition to the two monuments on the grounds of the courthouse and the Chief Menominee statue.

The estimate was provided at $4,990.

Miley recommended that a modeling appraisal of office equipment also be conducted with an additional cost of $1,860. A $300 update to reevaluate the properties on an annual basis was included.

The commissioners decided to wait until after the first of the year to consider the proposal.
