2019 Salary Ordinance Approved by Argos Town Council, Long-Time Employees Recognized

The 2019 Salary Ordinance was up for council consideration when Argos officials met for their final meeting of the year last week.

The salary ordinance was constructed with the assistance of the company New Focus HR. Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney noted that the ordinance included about a 2 percent increase across the board. However, the amount given to each employee was dependent on their performance review.

Members suspended the rules so the ordinance could be considered and subsequently approved on all three readings.

In addition to approving the salaries for next year, council members also recognized a few different town employees for their many years of service to the municipality.

Clerk-Treasurer Mullaney shared that Sergeant Rodney Rudd and part-time Officer Jeremy Enyart were recognized for their hard work over the last decade.

Additionally, Doug Middleton, who works as the assistant superintendent for the water, wastewater and street departments was acknowledged for 10 years of employment and Deputy Clerk Candi Weller was recognized for working for the Town of Argos for a total of thirty years.
