Two Plymouth Residents Arrested after Child Neglect Investigation

Two Plymouth residents are in the Marshall County Jail following an investigation into a complaint of child abuse.

Marshall County police say the complaint was filed late in the evening on Tuesday, Oct. 23 involving a two-year-old child in the hospital. The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department began an investigation and submitted information in the case to the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office for formal charges.

Dawn Walter, 33, was arrested on Friday, Nov. 2 and Micah Kunkle, 33, was taken into custody on Saturday, Nov. 3 on formal felony charges of aggravated battery when results in loss or impairment of a bodily function, battery with serious bodily injury to a person under 14, neglect of a dependent resulting in serious injury but resulting in serious bodily injury, battery resulting in bodily injury to a person under 14, and neglect of a dependent, deprives dependent of necessary support.

They remain jailed in the Marshall County Jail each with a $100,000 cash bond.
