Two Letters of Interest Submitted for Argos EMS Director Position, More EMTs Needed in the Department

At last Wednesday’s Argos Town Council meeting, members acknowledged that two letters of interest for the Argos EMS Director position were submitted by the deadline. As a reminder, current EMS Director Richie Miller tendered his resignation in August and will be leaving the department on December 31st of this year.

Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney mentioned that Town Council members will meet with Miller to discuss these two candidates and come to a decision about how to proceed. She said that the announcement will likely be made at a council meeting in December.

In addition to searching for a new director, the EMS Department is also looking for certified Emergency Medical Technicians who are interested in working for the town. Clerk-Treasurer Mullaney noted that they could really use some extra EMTs who are willing to pull shifts for Argos.
