Plymouth School Board to Consider Changes to High School Course List, Employee Handbook

The Plymouth School Board will be meeting a day earlier than usual, due to tomorrow’s election. Proposed changes to the high school course list for next school year and revisions to the employee handbook will be up for the board’s approval tonight.

Board members will also make some final preparations for the new school funding structure set to take effect in 2019. On January 1, each school corporation’s General Fund will be replaced by an Education Fund, while the Transportation, Bus Replacement, and Capital Projects funds will be combined into an Operations Fund. The school board will consider a pair of resolutions authorizing the money to be moved into the appropriate funds at the end of the year.

Board members will also get an update on the construction of the new Lincoln Junior High School. Tonight’s Plymouth School Board meeting starts at 7:00 in the Plymouth Schools Administration Building.
