Riverside Intermediate School’s newest teacher was introduced to the Plymouth School Board Monday. Rick Stiles was hired to teach fifth grade Language Arts and Social Studies, after working as an aide at the school for the past two years.
Principal Kyle Coffman said Stiles is a 1989 Plymouth High School graduate and served in the Air Force for 26 years. Coffman added that students were excited about Stiles’ promotion, when he announced it to them. Stiles told board members that he was happy to be a Plymouth grad coming back to be an educator and give back to the community.
Also during Monday’s meeting, the school board formally approved the Go Solutions Group Indiana Service Agreement for 2019. Assistant Superintendent Jill VanDriessche explained that the company works with the school corporation to recapture reimbursement from Medicaid for certain services offered to students.
