Plymouth BOW, City Council to Meet in Newly Remodeled Chambers Tonight

Plymouth City Building

The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety and the Plymouth City Council meetings will be held in the newly remodeled Council Chambers for the first time tonight.

The Board of Works and Safety members will discuss the last few action items to close out the Wastewater Treatment Plant renovation project and Utility Superintendent Donnie Davidson will present a contract proposal for development specifications for the re-coating of the Parkview Street water tower. Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt will provide the members with a sidewalk request and City Engineer Rick Gaul will have several project requests.

Allie Shook will have a Complete Streets update for the board.

The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members will meet at 6 p.m. followed with the Plymouth City Council meeting.

The city council members will have additional readings on an ordinance to annex 598 Hoham Drive into the city limits and an ordinance to annex approximately 44 acres located adjacent to the northeast corporate boundary of the city. Another ordinance that would fix the salaries for elected officials in the city will be up for first reading and a resolution will be considered to declare certain real estate to be within Economic Revitalization for American Containers, Inc.

City officials ask that patrons enter the City Building through the Garro Street entrance. There is an elevator and stairwell down the hallway where they will take you to the second floor where the Council Chambers will be. After you’ve reached the second floor, turn left and the room is on the right.
