The Culver Town Council members continued a discussion on rental fees for the Damore Amphitheater and the Culver Beach Lodge.
In September, Culver Park Superintendent Amber Cowell presented a rough draft of a revised facility rental fee guide to the council members to include the newly built Damore Amphitheater in the Culver-Union Township Park.
At the time, Cowell said there have been several inquiries into using the Damore Amphitheater for weddings, concerts and other events. There is a proposed beach season fee and a non-beach season fee which is in line with the fees for rental of the second floor of the Culver Beach Lodge.
In the most recent discussion, Clerk-Treasurer Karen Heim said the council is leaning toward not allowing alcohol at the Beach Lodge for events such as wedding receptions. However, the council did not formally approve any decisions. They plan to continue discussions in future settings.
