The Culver Community Schools Corporation referendum passed, according to the majority voters who cast a ballot in the four districts that make up the corporation.
There were 1,370 votes for yes and 1,012 no votes in the four corporation precincts in Starke, Pulaski, Marshall, and Fulton Counties.
Beginning in 2019, and for the next eight years immediately following, the property tax rate will not exceed 17 cents per $100 of assessed valuation. The funds will help supplement programs, increase student opportunities and students safety, along with managing class sizes, and attracting and retaining teachers.
