The Indiana Department of Transportation and Governor Eric J. Holcomb announced 283 Indiana cities, towns and counties were awarded a combined $100 million in state matching Community Crossings funds for local road projects.
Marshall County did not receive funding in this grant round. Highway Supervisor Jason Peters submitted projects on Dogwood Road from U.S. 6 to the County Line, 11th Road from U.S. 31 to S. Michigan, North Michigan Road from the Plymouth City Limits to Veteran’s Parkway, Dogwood Road from State Road 331 to U.S. 6, and 9B Road from Union Road to the County Line.
Beginning in 2019, INDOT will offer two calls for projects per year. Grant applications may be submitted in January and July with an entity being eligible to apply for up to $1 million once per year during the call of their choice.
Peters told MAX 98.3 FM News that he will submit another application in January. The proposed projects in that application will be announced in a future setting.
