Argos officials are still seeking residents willing to fill the open positions on the Plan Commission. Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney previously shared that they especially need some more Democratic members in order to keep the board balanced.
A Town’s Plan Commission is entrusted with handling planning and zoning matters and members make decisions and recommendations regarding land use. There is no set date or times for meetings because the Argos Plan Commission meets on an “as needed” basis.
If you’re interested, submit a letter of interest at the Clerk’s Office at 201 W. Walnut Street.
Letters will be presented in an open town council meeting where members will consider the eligibility of the candidate and decide whether or not to appoint them to the commission.
