Marshall County Highway Supervisor Jason Peters submitted the fall application for Community Crossings grant funds through the Indiana Department of Transportation.
The proposed projects are Dogwood Road from U.S. 6 to the County Line, 11th Road from U.S. 31 to S. Michigan, North Michigan Road from the Plymouth City Limits to Veteran’s Parkway, Dogwood Road from State Road 331 to U.S. 6, and 9B Road from Union Road to the County Line.
The total project cost is estimated at $1,330,000. The state would pay 75 percent of the cost while the county would pay 25 percent as a grant match. If all projects are awarded, the county’s match would be $332,500.
Peters said if all of the projects aren’t awarded in this grant round, another application will be submitted in January.
